Role OverviewLeidos is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to join the Air Traffic Business Area within the Homeland Sector, supporting the development of the Leidos Common Automation Platform (L-CAP). L-CAP is a mission-critical, future-ready automation platform built on a hybrid cloud data mesh architecture, enabling next-generation air traffic management capabilities. As part of a large-scale Scaled Agile (SAFe) program organization of approximately 500 personnel, you will serve as the deputy to the Program Manager, providing executive leadership across program execution, contract performance, and customer engagement.
What You Will Do
Support the Program Manager in day-to-day program execution and strategic decision-making. Manage Earned Value Management (EVM) and schedule performance across the program. Lead program operations including status reporting, action tracking, and governance. Serve as a primary customer interface for program performance and delivery updates.

Requirements

- Demonstrated experience managing large FAA or DoD programs
- Proficiency in Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques and reporting
- Experience operating within SAFe/Agile program organizations
- Strong customer relationship management skills at the executive level
- Track record of contract performance management and delivery excellence
- Financial management experience including P&L oversight
- Risk management expertise across complex program portfolios
- Experience leading teams of 200+ personnel in a matrixed environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance; US citizenship required; subject to government background investigation
- Experience leading software-intensive modernization programs operating within Agile development organizations
