Role OverviewThe CAD Design Associate works under minimal supervision to create proposals, seaming diagrams, and flooring layouts for National Accounts, Strategic Account Managers, Sales Representatives, and RVP's. The role involves working with internal departments to develop an overall installation plan that benefits the customer and is profitable for Mohawk. The position requires minimal guidance and involves following instructions from management, sales, and customers.
What You Will Do
Create and edit proposals with accuracy, generate accurate takeoff quantities, develop exclusive visuals, and prepare layouts for internal and external client approval. Present layout design concepts via phone, web, and in-person, and stay aware of current trends in flooring.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate has expertise with AutoCAD, basic working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, and a valid passport for occasional international travel. They should have excellent math, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience
- 0-2 years' relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience
- Expertise with AutoCAD is required, and Callidus flooring software is preferred
- Basic working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc. required
- Valid passport and willingness to travel 1-2 times a year internationally to Asia when required
