Job Description
The Design Engineer III uses engineering techniques to design, maintain, or improve new or existing products and/or components for engineering projects within the area of assigned responsibility. This position will serve our Water Heating Division, located in Montgomery, AL.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5 years of experience in design and manufacture of products
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions and procedures
  • Ability to work with mathematic concepts such as probability and statistical inference
  • Strong reasoning and analytical skills
  • Experience in engineering/manufacturing change processes
  • Experience in manufacturing processes engineering and engineering computer systems including SolidWorks modeling software
  • Occasional travel required
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment
  • Knowledge of concepts, techniques and tools that promote effective analysis
  • Knowledge of processes, approaches, tools and techniques of product design
  • Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics
