Role OverviewThe Design Engineer is responsible for providing civil/structural engineering and design services to support Engineering, Maintenance, Operations and EHS&S. This work includes engineering and design of pipe supports, foundations, platforms, lifting devices, buildings, roadways, and drainage.
What You Will Do
Perform structural analysis for moderate to complex steel and concrete structures and foundations, prepare design calculations, and utilize 2D or 3D computer aided design software to create layouts of civil/structural systems.

Requirements
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Louisiana
- Five or more years of hands-on in-plant experience
- Five or more years of engineering related experience in the oil, gas, or chemical manufacturing industry
- RISA software experience
- AutoCAD software experience
- CADWorx software experience
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong management skills (team leading, decision making, and time management)
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
