Role Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated engineer who is driven to deliver innovative products that keep our customers safe. The USB DRE is responsible for definition of requirements, execution of design, analysis, development, testing and management of engineering projects for USB Components.

What You Will Do

Create and maintain Interface Control Design (ICD) strategy and ICD templates, develop & Maintain commodity specific documentation, generate and Maintain Global subsystem/component technical specifications templates.

Must be a self-starter and must work effectively cross-functionally, lead resolution of technical issues, and work cross-functionally within GM, coordinating multiple suppliers.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering, Physics, Math, Computer Science or related field
  • 2+ years of related USB experience
  • Knowledge of microcontroller architectures, memory technologies, and programming
  • Understanding of hardware design and failure modes in electronic modules
  • Knowledge of vehicle serial data communications
  • Demonstrated proficiency in writing and comprehending software/hardware requirements
  • Knowledge of software verification/validation processes
  • Knowledge of testing and associated tools
  • Capability to translate text based functional requirements into software algorithms and models
