Role OverviewAs a Designer 2 - Field Installation, you will lead the detailed drafting and design of piping systems for field-fabricated projects, producing accurate isometric drawings, installation documentation, and fabrication support materials. You'll apply advanced knowledge of piping codes, layout standards, constructability, and installation requirements to independently manage multiple projects while ensuring designs meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and field conditions.
What You Will Do
Design and produce detailed piping layouts, isometric drawings, installation documents, and supporting design packages for field-fabricated projects. Manage multiple piping design projects simultaneously, ensuring designs are accurate, code-compliant, and delivered on schedule.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Design, Drafting & Design, or Engineering Technology
- Autodesk Revit – 3 years minimum, no older than 4 releases from current release
- Navisworks – 1 year minimum
- Prior mechanical, field-fabricated piping or system design experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Prior experience with BOM creation, revision control
- AutoCAD / Plant 3D – 2 years minimum, recommended
- Knowledge of custom-fabricated component estimating, preferred
- Basic Epicor or other ERP experience, preferred
