Job Description
Designs components or portions of systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations. Technical support for shipboard/shop trades in a waterfront environment to support New Construction and/or RCOH.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree and 1 years of relevant experience
  • One of the following may be used as equivalent to Associate's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and problem solving skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team (piping, machinery, outfitting, and/or electrical)
  • Teamcenter/NX
  • Familiarity with SAP (mainly ZEIR preferred) and VWI's
  • Knowledge of Visual Work Instructions (VWIs)
  • Knowledge of the lost material process
