Job Description
Designs components or portions of systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations. Coordinates design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning group. Technical support for shipboard/shop trades in a waterfront environment.
Requirements
Associate's Degree and 3 years of relevant experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Associate's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: NNS Apprentice School graduate, Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate, High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience, High School/GED and 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and problem solving skills
Critical thinking skills
Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team (piping, machinery, outfitting, and/or electrical)
Teamcenter/NX
Familiarity with SAP (mainly ZEIR preferred) and VWI's
Knowledge of Visual Work Instructions (VWIs)
Knowledge of the lost material process
