Desktop and Site Support Engineer

This entry-level position is on the Desktop Support Team, reporting directly to the Lead Desktop Engineer. The team provides support for all aspects of LAN-based networking, installation and maintenance of computer hardware and software, and voice systems. The successful candidate will assist with cabling, repairing or upgrading computer systems, and providing Tier 1 level support on hardware and software technical issues.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with the support of all aspects of LAN-based networking, installation and maintenance of all computer hardware and software, installation and maintenance of voice systems, cabling new and existing locations, repairing or upgrading computer systems, and providing Tier 1 level support on hardware and software technical issues.

Requirements

• Must be a computer course student, graduate or have computer related work experience.

• Hands on experience troubleshooting hardware such as routers, switches, network interface cards, firewalls, and telecommunications devices.
• Experience with VoIP and supporting VoIP over a production WAN.
• Ability to view a computer monitor for several hours at a time.
• Open availability and able to work additional hours as needed.
