Role Overview

The Development Manager is responsible for developing and managing philanthropic processes and activities related to the donor cultivation and solicitation of gifts on the Western Slope in Colorado. This position is responsible for managing a determined portfolio of 100+ donors, research and discover prospective donors, conduct face-to-face visits, develop donor centric giving proposals, presentations, and prescribed activities related to the cultivating, tracking and soliciting of annual donors toward individual donations of $1,000+ or more.

What You Will Do

Manage a portfolio of gift prospects, design and implement appropriate cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities, prepare a comprehensive annual fundraising plan, arrange for gift prospects to meet with VOA Colorado leadership, and track and report moves-management activity using VOA Colorado's CRM system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a fundraising position
  • Strong writing, editing, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Satisfactory motor vehicle record, proof of insurance and valid Colorado driver's license
