Job Description
Role Overview

The Development Services Engineer is responsible for planning, directing, and managing the performance of engineering work by the Development Services Department. This includes subdivision engineering, traffic impact analysis, construction inspections, tree inspections, code administration, permitting, licensing, and GIS mapping and addressing. The position requires direct supervision over assigned staff and working conditions are in an office environment.

What You Will Do

The Development Services Engineer will supervise engineering staff, review proposed development subdivision infrastructure, provide information to City Council and the public, advise other City departments, and review proposed infrastructure and building construction plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university
  • Six (6) years' experience in engineering, to include three (3) years' experience in land development activities
  • Licensed to practice engineering in the State of Texas, as a Professional Engineer
  • Valid Class 'C' Texas Driver's License
