Role OverviewThe Development Technician is responsible for coordinating the development and improvement of new foam products. This involves leading and participating in experimental design, analysis, compilation, and presentation of data. The position also involves assistance with the management of housekeeping, inventory, standards, and procedures for the Development Laboratory, Process Laboratory, and Development Pour Line.
What You Will Do
Develop and modify foam formulations to meet customer and organization expectations, write and update procedures, standards, and policies, help maintain the Development laboratories and work areas.

Requirements
- Two-year degree or related experience and/or training
- Prior chemical laboratory experience is required
- Chemical safety and handling, including HMIS, training is mandatory
- Ability to safely use/operate a variety of lab instruments
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers
