Job Description
The Developmental Specialist, Residential Services, is responsible for implementing resident programming, serving as a staff leader during assigned shifts, and coordinating the annual CFA for each individual.

Requirements

  • Participate as a member of the Interdisciplinary Program Team in Program Development, assessment of ILS skills, writing, and implementing programs.
  • Count statistics from individual program areas and complete documentation for 45 and 90 day reviews.
  • Responsible for the ILS portion of the CFA for each individual and an annual update.
  • Coordinate the annual CFA for each individual, ensuring the CFA is updated annually and most current placed in the file.
  • Responsible for the Service Plan for each individual in conjunction with the site PA.
  • Responsible for purging files (main and daily books) to ensure most current Program Plans are in place.
  • Responsible for sending information to Day Programs as needed.
  • Responsible for observations at the Day Program site quarterly and at the ICF as assigned.
  • Use of Client Track for individual information/Plan of Care.
  • Attend all agency mandated in-service training sessions including SCIP-R training.
  • Comply with all ICF/DD and agency policies and procedures.
  • Supervise residents to ensure their health, safety and welfare.
  • Administer medication.
  • Responsible for completion of all pertinent health related forms as needed.
  • Responsible for attending staff meetings as scheduled.
  • Responsible for the successful completion of all required training in a timely manner.
  • Perform CPR and Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention (SCIP-R).
  • Comply with all agency policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
