Role Overview

The DevOps Engineer will participate in the entire lifecycle of operating systems, application software, and system management tools. They will provide hands-on work supporting production and non-production J2EE environments, coordinate execution of break fixes, and design infrastructure for new applications. The role requires collaboration with development teams, ensuring deliverables meet requirements, and providing support to QA during testing.

The role requires collaboration with development teams, ensuring deliverables meet requirements, and providing support to QA during testing.

Requirements

  • Expertise in developing deployment templates for infrastructure automation tools such as Chef, Puppet or Ansible
  • Experience administering and maintaining AWS infrastructure, Atlassian products, Windows servers, Linux servers, IBM FileNet and J2EE application stacks
  • Knowledge of continuous integration tools such as Jenkins
  • Understanding of source or version control management tools such as Subversion, GIT, or Bitbucket
  • Understanding of virtualized (VMWare), distributed architecture with High Availability
  • Knowledge of network troubleshooting using tools such as network analyzers, sniffers
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical, organization, presentation, and facilitation skills; ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
