DevOps Software Engineer

The DevOps Software Engineer will design, develop, and deploy a state-of-the-art technology stack supporting the DOMEX Data Discovery Platform (D3P) Modernization program. The role supports the mission to centralize and standardize Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination (TCPED) of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE).

What You Will Do

Deploy, triage, and maintain a production big data pipeline using a microservice architecture running on Kubernetes, Elasticsearch backend, and Kafka messaging. Enhance and maintain CI/CD and DevOps scripts and processes including AI-integrated solutions for failure analysis, security, and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience with 8+ years in software development, system engineering, or related field
• 6+ years of experience with a Master's degree
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification, e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, Security+ CE, SSCP, CISSP (or Associate)
• Ability to obtain Privileged User Account (PUA) certification per DoD 8570 policy
• Experience with container/container orchestration, specifically Kubernetes, including troubleshooting ingress/gateway API, multi-tenant GPU sharing, Helm chart design/build, pod disruption budgets, and affinity/anti-affinity rules
• Familiarity with external-secrets, ArgoCD, cert-manager, and elastic search (eck)
• GitLab pipeline development experience including integration of GitLab CI/CD components, code quality reports, and code coverage/test reports
• Knowledgeable in navigating Linux OS, specifically sysctls for Kubernetes environments, FApolicyd, and SELinux experience
• Comfortable with Elastic Search, Logstash, and Kibana
• Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution
