As a DevSecOps & Automation Engineer, you will support the design, automation, deployment, and optimization of secure, scalable, and compliant systems across VA programs.
What You Will Do
Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using VA-approved tools, automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC, integrate automated security scanning, and support containerization and orchestration. Deploy and manage applications in AWS, Azure, or VA Enterprise Cloud environments, implement monitoring, logging, and alerting, and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of DevOps, cloud engineering, or automation experience
- Experience supporting federal agencies (VA, DoD, HHS, DHS, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and cloud platforms
- Strong understanding of federal cybersecurity frameworks and secure DevOps practices
- Experience with containers, orchestration, and automated testing frameworks
