Job Description
As a Diesel Fleet Mechanic at SpartanNash, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance and repair of diesel semi trucks and trailers. You will work in a warehouse environment and must be able to work weekends, holidays, days and night hours, and overtime as necessary and as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent (GED) (Required)
  • Valid Driver’s License (required)
  • CDL-A (Strongly preferred)
  • Basic Mechanic tools and toolbox (strongly preferred)
  • Must be able to demonstrate and obtain SpartanNash certification for the safe driving of material handling equipment, tractors, and trailers (required)
  • Heavy Duty Air Brake Certified (required)
  • DOT Inspector Certified (required)
  • Journeyman Diesel Mechanic card (strongly preferred) with 608 Certificate (strongly preferred)
  • Previous refrigerated trailer (reefer) experience (strongly preferred)
