Role Overview

Work with a team of experienced professionals to maintain and repair heavy-duty trucks, including diesel and alternative fuel source fleets. Perform preventative maintenance services, safety checks, and basic repairs. Develop skills and knowledge through training and certification programs.

What You Will Do

Assist drivers with daily post-trip and vehicle safety inspections, conduct safety checks, complete lubrication and repair of lubrication points, perform basic repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty equipment, and maintain a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

  • Ability to assist drivers with Pre/Post trip process
  • Ability to identify visible repairs required on vehicles
  • Ability to assist/complete fluid top up on vehicles
  • Knowledge of tire inspections and air pressure adjustments
  • Ability to support technicians in repair of lights, wipers, mirrors
  • Ability to understand and use lubrication charts for waste trucks
  • Ability to lubricate components on trucks as scheduled
  • Knowledge of all tools required to perform repairs and maintenance on vehicles
  • Basic computer skills
