Job Description
Assists with food preparation, follows facility procedures, and maintains equipment cleanliness.

Requirements

  • Follows diet orders and NPO diet orders
  • Assists cook in preparing meals, desserts, and snacks
  • Uses proper food handling processes, procedures, and policies
  • Delivers trays to patients/residents
  • Prepares between-meal nourishments and serves in accordance with procedural guidelines
  • Offers menu substitutions and records them in accordance with procedural guidelines
  • Communicates well with patients/residents/clients and family members
  • Cleans tables, work areas, and equipment
  • Complies with infection control policies
  • Scrapes dishes, washes dishes, and records freezer and walk-in refrigerator temperatures
