Role OverviewThe Dietary Cook will assist in supervising dietary functions and personnel, prepare and oversee the preparation of food, and contribute to the overall wellbeing of our residents. The Dietary Cook will work closely with a diverse team to create exceptional dining experiences and contribute to the nutritional wellbeing of our residents.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Dietary Cook include assisting in supervising dietary functions and personnel, preparing and overseeing the preparation of food, contributing to tray service and cleanliness duties, and keeping accurate records. The Dietary Cook will also supervise kitchen operations in the absence of the manager and receive reports on meals for normal and special diets.

Requirements
- High School diploma preferred, or the ability to read and write English effectively
- Previous culinary experience is a plus
- Proficient in preparing and cooking a variety of foods in larger quantities
- Knowledge of special diets, seasoning requirements, cooking times, and temperature controls
- Skilled in estimating food quantities, minimizing waste, and creating appetizing meals
