Role OverviewWe are seeking a Dietary Cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling and preparing food in accordance with federal, state, and local sanitary regulations. They will also be responsible for preparing nutritionally appropriate and appetizing meals, including modified consistency and therapeutic diets, as prescribed by the attending physician.
What You Will Do
The Dietary Cook will be responsible for meeting required meal schedules, taking accurate measures to avoid food waste, properly caring for dietary equipment, following menus and special diet instructions, and taking food temperatures per policy.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in institutional food handling is preferred
- Ability to read, write, speak, and follow written and oral directions in the English language
- Knowledge of volume food production methods and techniques
- Knowledge of sanitation regulations and practices as applied to institutional kitchens and related areas
- Able to make simple arithmetical calculations
- Able to solve operational problems in absence of Dietary Manager and Assistant Dietary Manager
- Knowledge of dietetic principles
