Dietitian

Under the general supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Dietitian plans, directs and provides all aspects of nutritional care to residents of the SNC.

What You Will Do

The Dietitian must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the residents served by his/her department – adult through geriatric.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The Dietitian must demonstrate knowledge of principals appropriate to the age specific needs of the residents served; possess the ability to assess data reflective of the resident's status; interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each resident's requirements relative to their age-specific needs; and to provide the care needed as described in the Food Services Department’s policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Registered dietitian status required
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in nutrition or dietetics
• Two (2) years experience in a adult or geriatric health care environment preferred
• Certification as a Clinical Nutrition Specialist Dietitian preferred
