Role Overview

The Digital Communications Associate will work with the Director of Communications to connect workforce engagement with broader public education, helping New York City constituents understand the vital intersection of labor, public service, and city life. The role will involve drafting communications, strategic planning, intergovernmental and policy coordination, briefing and collateral management, media relations, research and reporting, and internal communications.

What You Will Do

The successful candidate will draft press releases, statements, talking points, and interview briefings, build communication plans and strategies, track legislative developments and policy shifts, and maintain relationships with journalists.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in journalism or public relations from an accredited college
  • One year of full-time satisfactory experience in public relations, journalism, or advertising
  • At least 60 credits from an accredited college
