Job Description
The Department of Developmental Services seeks a Direct Care Worker II to provide outstanding care and service to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role involves assisting with daily living and community life, performing program-related duties, and communicating with individuals in a way that promotes their growth and integration into the community.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of comprehensive service needs of persons with developmental/intellectual disabilities and their families/guardians
  • Ability to give written or verbal instructions in a clear and understandable manner, and to plan, assign and coordinate the activities of others
  • Current and valid Class D Motor Vehicle Operator's License
  • Medication Administration Program (MAP) certification
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid (FA) certification
  • Ability to lift, carry, push or pull heavy objects
