Role OverviewProvide ongoing support to individuals with intellectual and other disabilities to ensure a high quality of life is maintained. This includes support in self-care routines, health, safety, household chores, socialization, and overall wellbeing.
What You Will Do
Provide support in daily routines, assist with household chores, and participate in activities to promote independence and engagement. Follow treatment plans and utilize adaptive equipment as needed.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role requires regular and substantial unsupervised physical contact with people receiving services, and successful completion of a fingerprint/criminal background check is required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid NYS drivers' license
- Ability to communicate and understand written and oral directives/information
- Ability to meet physical demands of the position (lifting and transferring individuals)
