Job Description
Anixter Center has proudly served hundreds of thousands of people in the Chicago area since 1919. Our focus is on servicing clients with disabilities through a variety of programs while helping to support each person to live as independently as possible, as a member of their community.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 1 years' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Valid Driver's license and ability to meet all requirements to drive agency vehicles
  • DSP certified or ability to obtain a DSP certification within six months of employment (provided by agency)
  • CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain certification within six months of employment (provided by agency)
  • Basic computer literacy skills including navigation of the internet, training systems, and recall of login credentials
  • Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred
  • Ability to set priorities and multi-task in a high stress environment
  • Ability to interact with diverse personalities, including, but not limited to, clients, parents/guardians, staff, employers, funding representatives, etc.
  • Ability to promote and adhere to company values
