Role OverviewDirect Support Professionals (DSPs) provide continuous support to individuals participating in Day Habilitation and ICF programs, ensuring a high quality of life and promoting independence. They assist individuals with self-care, health, safety, socialization, and overall well-being, and support individuals in achieving their personal goals and enhancing their independence.
What You Will Do
Primary duties and responsibilities include ensuring safety of program volunteers, training program volunteers, acting as a second staff support, and reporting volunteers' success/satisfaction and/or problems/concerns encountered during day activities.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have good oral and written communication skills, AMAP/First Aid/CPR/SCIP-R Training, and a valid NYS Driver License. Experience working with people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities is preferred.
Requirements
