Role OverviewThe Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for advocating and supporting adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities by empowering them to be as active in their lives as they can.
What You Will Do
Assist individuals with daily tasks, such as household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing, and administer medications, follow Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans and goals, and to follow medical guidelines.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must be able to safely evacuate individuals from the home in the event of an emergency, maintain certifications, handle job related duties in compliance with Agency policies and follow all DDS regulations/policies.
Requirements
- 21+ with reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to speak, read, and write in fluent English
