Role OverviewAs a Direct Support Professional at Devereux, you will work with other dedicated professionals to create meaningful and productive lives for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will assist in daily living activities, maintain a safe and therapeutic treatment environment, and support the physical, emotional, and personal needs of the individuals we serve.
What You Will Do
Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, such as health and hygiene management, cooking, cleaning, recreation, and documentation. You will also maintain a safe and therapeutic treatment environment.

The ideal candidate will be empathetic, a team player, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to complete required new hire orientation class. You must also have a strong passion for working with and helping children and adolescents with special needs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- One (1) year of human service experience working with children, adolescents, and adults preferred
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
