Role OverviewThe Director of Component Repair Organization is responsible for leading all Component maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations for American Airlines. This executive role provides strategic and operational oversight for the company’s Component shops in two locations—Tulsa, Oklahoma and Dallas, Texas —and is headquartered in Tulsa.

The Director leads an organization of more than 1,000 team members, including management and frontline union-represented team members. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in commercial aerospace Component MRO operations, with a proven ability to deliver results in a high‐volume, safety‐critical environment.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or equivalent experience/training
- 7 years of progressive leadership experience managing cross-departmental teams
- 5 years of MRO management experience leading large, unionized frontline teams, with a demonstrated commitment to the highest level of ethics and integrity
- In-depth knowledge of the airline industry and technical operations, American Airlines (AA) business strategy, company policies and procedures, and collective bargaining agreements
- Valid FAA A&P License preferred
