Role OverviewThe Director, Construction will provide cost-effective and timely delivery of quality capital projects consistent with the District's goals. This includes construction, commissioning, change management, and close-out of new construction, comprehensive renovation, facility-related improvements, and other educational enhancements.
What You Will Do
The Director, Construction will supervise staff, develop and execute an effective system for managing construction and commissioning, directly supervise staff and provide leadership for consultants, respond to internal and external customers, and implement programs for quality assurance and continuous process improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success in on-time and within budget completion of construction projects, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership position with responsibility for a medium to large commercial, industrial, or public capital construction program.
Requirements
- Earned bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with major course work in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in the field related to the title of the position, including at least 2 years in a leadership position
- Demonstrated track record of success in on-time and within budget completion of construction projects
- Computer skills as required for the position
