Job Description
The Director of Digital will lead the development and execution of digital communications strategies, supervise staff, and create content for NYPD's social media presence.

Requirements

  • Direct the development and execution of creative, sophisticated and high-impact digital communications strategies and efforts
  • Supervise staff and perform work of technical responsibility related to digital and graphic updates
  • Create and post content for NYPD's social media presence
  • Develop strategies to use multimedia content, social media, website, and other digital media tactics
  • Incorporate digital media into all communications efforts to maximize the effectiveness and reach of key messages
  • Develop a digital first strategy and culture for breaking news
  • Establish aggressive short- and long-term digital goals, and work with the broader team to execute them
  • Work with Deputy Commissioner and executive staff on overall communications planning and implementation
