Job Description
Role Overview

The Director Enterprise Architect is expected to act as the bridge between business intent and technical implementation, translating business intent into architectural choices and translating architectural constraints back to the business to support informed decision-making. The role is to ensure that the respective business, application, and data align with CPG’s business, technology, and governance strategies, policies, and standards.

What You Will Do

Lead the translation of business priorities into architectures and strategies to enable delivery of optimal solutions, ensure that architectural solutions are business-appropriate and long-term sustainable, and provide architectural guidance to development teams working on applications, systems, and platforms.

To be effective in this role, the Director Enterprise Architect is expected to build strong rapport with CPG’s ITS Staff, BU and CU leaders, as well as the Executive Leadership Team, and have a solid understanding of application architecture, integration patterns, data concepts, cloud fundamentals, and AI.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of application architecture, integration patterns, data concepts, cloud fundamentals, and AI
  • Proven track record of translating business strategy and requirements into optimal technical architecture
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Must have a strong business architecture perspective
  • Strong understanding of application design principles, and demonstrable use of those principles in application architecture
  • Knowledge of application design patterns, data modeling, service-oriented integration, and business intelligence domains
  • Experience in architecting and designing scalable, secure, high performing, and sustainable business systems
  • Experience leading solution architecture and design sessions with members of applications and technology teams
  • Experience with transactional applications in industries such as benefits, financial, and/or healthcare is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in interacting and negotiating with business stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven track record of influencing without authority
  • Excellent communication skills
