Job Description
Role Overview

Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion, responsible for cost, schedule, and technical performance. Coordinates proposal preparation, business plans, and contract negotiations. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities.

What You Will Do

Develops new business, expands product lines, establishes design concepts, and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program.

Requirements

  • Apprentice Certification
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • 10 years of applicable, progressive technical, professional, and/or supervisory work experience
  • Thorough understanding of construction, manufacturing processes, and operations
  • Experience in steel shop manufacturing, unit steel construction, and ship grand block erection
  • Experience in planning, controlling, and execution of ship pre-assembly schedule
  • Experience in manpower planning, skill mix management, and multiple cost center and work station control management
  • Proficiency in EVMS and experience as a CAM of multiple cost centers within hull department processes
  • Proficiency in the collective bargaining agreement
