Role OverviewThe Director of Probation Services plays a pivotal leadership role in shaping and advancing the mission of the Adams County Department of Probation Services. As a key member of the department’s executive team, the Director assists the Chief and Deputy Chiefs in defining a long-term vision that ensures effective administration, coordination, and operational excellence across probation services.
What You Will Do
The Director holds direct responsibility for managing an assigned unit, including its staff and programs, to promote public safety and support offender rehabilitation within the court system. The Director also serves as a peace officer with powers of arrest.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of three years’ experience in probation services
- Knowledge of modern principles of criminology
- Knowledge of courts, corrections, and/or law enforcement
- Valid driver’s license
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of contemporary office practices and procedures
- Criminal background checks and clearances
