Job Description
We are hiring our first dedicated commercial counsel at the Director level to own and accelerate our contracting process. As a Director, Legal at Giga, you will own the commercial legal function from the ground up, transforming our contracting process into a strategic advantage for the business.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Strong background as a commercial lawyer (transactional, funding, or purely IP backgrounds are not a fit for this role).
  • Enterprise Sales Exposure: Deep experience negotiating and closing deals with large enterprise companies, with a strong understanding of what it takes to get complex MSAs across the finish line.
  • Big Law Foundation: 2+ years of prior experience at a top-tier law firm bringing a high level of rigor and exposure to scaling companies.
  • Startup DNA: Early-stage startup experience, ideally having worked as part of the first 150 employees or within a small legal team (1-3 people).
  • Infrastructure Building: Proven experience building contracting infrastructure, such as templates, playbooks, and workflows, from scratch.
