Role Overview

The Legal Operations Director will lead the global legal operations function at Booking Holdings Corporate Center, collaborating with brand legal, privacy, and compliance teams. The role requires a strong leader to drive lasting efficiencies and support the legal function.

The Legal Operations Director will oversee a wide variety of areas, including budget control, billing/vendor management, AI and legal tech, contract management, and knowledge management. The role will also involve process improvement, leadership development, and program and project management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate legal operations
  • In-house legal operations or legal experience within a technology company is preferred
  • Ability to design and scale legal operations processes and service delivery models across a global enterprise
  • Experience leading hiring, coaching, performance management, succession planning, and resource allocation
  • Experience managing legal department budgets, forecasts, accruals, outside counsel spend, vendor relationships, alternative fee arrangements, and investment business cases
  • Strong executive presence and stakeholder-management skills
  • Ability to analyze legal, financial, operational, technology, and risk data and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Sound judgment, integrity, and strong organizational and communication skills
