Role OverviewThe Director, Manufacturing Finance is a strategic finance leader responsible for partnering with manufacturing, supply chain, and operations leadership to drive financial performance, cost excellence, and operational scalability across a life science tools organization.
What You Will Do
Provide actionable insights to optimize production efficiency, capacity utilization, and cost structure. Support decision-making on product mix, sourcing strategies, and make vs. buy analyses. Partner with site leaders to drive accountability for financial results and KPIs.
Why It Might Be a Fit
10–15+ years of progressive finance experience, including significant exposure to manufacturing environments. Prior experience in life sciences, medical devices, biotech, or highly regulated industries strongly preferred.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of manufacturing finance, including variances, absorption costing, and operational KPIs.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA strongly preferred).
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, experience with artificial intelligence enabled tools.
- Experience supporting multi-site, global manufacturing operations.
- Strong business partner with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proven ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.
- Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to executive leadership.
- Results-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
