Role OverviewThe Director of Marketing and Events is a key member of the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation (ASF) leadership team responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing, communications, branding, and event execution and strategies that advance the organization's mission, visibility, fundraising goals, and stakeholder engagement.
What You Will Do
Lead the strategic marketing and communications efforts of ASF, develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communications plans, direct content strategy and creation, oversee media relations efforts, and manage and maintain editorial calendars and campaign schedules.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Event Management, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, public relations, event management, or related leadership roles
- Demonstrated experience leading integrated marketing and communications strategies
- Experience managing staff, agency partners, and external vendors
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Exceptional written, verbal, and storytelling abilities
- Proven success in media relations, brand management, and digital marketing
- Experience overseeing special events, fundraising events, or nonprofit engagement initiatives
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate performance metrics and make data-driven decisions
- Proficiency with social media platforms, email marketing systems, content management systems, and marketing analytics tools
