Job Description
The Director, Metrology provides global leadership for laboratory instrumentation and metrology programs across IQVIA Laboratories, ensuring compliance, operational readiness, and scalability to support business growth.

Requirements

  • Lead and oversee global metrology operations across approximately 17 IQVIA laboratory sites
  • Develop and execute departmental strategy aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and long-term growth
  • Establish goals, metrics, and performance expectations for a global team, driving accountability and operational excellence
  • Ensure effective resourcing, prioritization, and workload management across regions and sites
  • Provide oversight of equipment lifecycle management, preventative maintenance, calibration, and compliance programs using enterprise asset systems
  • Serve as an escalation point for quality, safety, and operational issues, ensuring timely CAPA resolution and root cause analysis
  • Partner cross-functionally to evaluate, select, and implement new instrumentation, technologies, and vendor solutions
  • Drive global harmonization, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives across laboratory operations
