Job Description
South Central Power Company, Ohio’s largest electric cooperative, is seeking a Director of Accounting to provide leadership and direction for functions related to the Cooperative’s accounting department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • CPA license
  • At least 7 years of progressively responsible accounting positions
  • At least 2 years of management and supervisory responsibility
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles, investments, cash management, RUS accounting, and basic purchasing procedures
  • Basic auditing principles and practices desirable
  • Excellent organizational and follow-through skills
  • Highly motivated, detail oriented and organized
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to identify areas of risk and inefficiency and determine process improvement opportunities
