Role OverviewThe Director of Business Development (Space Force) will be responsible for identifying, developing, qualifying, capturing, and advancing new business opportunities that align with USfalcon's strategic growth objectives and core capabilities. The Director will develop and maintain strong relationships across the Space Force and broader space and defense communities while building actionable opportunity pipelines and leading opportunities from early identification through proposal submission and award.

This is a hands-on business development leadership role requiring the ability to independently develop opportunities, lead capture activities, draft and coordinate RFI responses, and actively lead and contribute to proposal development with a season team.

Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience supporting DoD, Federal Government, or defense industry customers, with significant experience in business development, capture, program management, operations, or related growth functions.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or pursuing U.S. Space Force, U.S. Space Command, Air Force, or other national security space customers.
- Strong knowledge of the Colorado Springs defense and space market.
- Demonstrated experience identifying, qualifying, and developing Federal Government contracting opportunities.
- Strong understanding of the Federal acquisition lifecycle and competitive Government contracting environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical information into concise and persuasive customer-focused messaging.
- Ability to develop and deliver executive-level briefings, customer presentations, and opportunity assessments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with executive leadership, operations, technical SMEs, proposal personnel, recruiting, contracts, pricing, and external partners.
