Director of Catering and Conference Services

Requirements

• Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates
• Plan and conduct pre and post-convention meetings with clients and respective departments
• Establish rapport with and entertain meeting planners
• Conduct walking site inspections throughout property
• Monitor in-house group activity, providing assistance as needed
• Communicate with sales, front office and reservations to coordinate and monitor guest room blocks and special reservation needs
• Assign banquet/meeting rooms set up based on needs of clients
• Assist sales staff in promoting hotel, developing leads, and securing re-bookings
• Coordinate activities of various departments to service accounts
• Document tracking of group activity
• Analyze banquet event orders, to ensure that all room set-ups, equipment, supplies, staffing and menus meet/exceed customer's expectations
• Recommend, implement, monitor and control the banquet budget and coordinate with event budgets to maximize revenue and minimize expenses
• Develop and implement, in conjunction with sales and convention services, special packages, and create new menus and themes within corporate guidelines
• Monitor and control the maintenance of the meeting space and equipment to protect hotel assets and ensure a safe work environment
• Responsible for overseeing forecasting and budgeting processes on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational goals
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to Noble House green program
• Perform other duties as requested by management
