Role OverviewThe Director of Central Supply & Restorative Nursing Assistant oversees the central supply function, maintains accurate inventory and accounting, and ensures all patient/resident rights are protected. The Restorative Aide delivers efficient and effective restorative nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient/family satisfaction.
What You Will Do
Main responsibilities include checking inventory, monitoring oxygen room cleanliness, stock, and logs, troubleshooting medical equipment, and ensuring all patient/resident rights are protected. The Restorative Aide will provide care within the standards of practice as accorded by Certification and promote the patient’s ability to attain and maintain his/her maximum functional potential.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have experience in Central Supply, particularly in a hospital setting, and knowledge of restorative nursing philosophy and procedures. They must be able to trouble shoot some medical equipment, if needed, and provide verification of TST (tuberculin skin test) as required by state law and in accordance with facility policy.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Additional courses in Central Services techniques
- Supervision, psychology, and work simplification preferred
- Experience in Central Supply, particularly in a hospital setting, preferred
- Successful completion of a state approved certified nursing assistant program
- Two years’ experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant and knowledge of restorative nursing philosophy and procedures
