Role Overview

The Director of Compliance will support the Division of Labor Services (DLS) in ensuring compliance with Executive Order No. 50 and Local Law 67 across all qualifying entities performing work with the City of New York. The role involves overseeing compliance determinations, conducting audits, and performing periodic reporting to assess program and project progress. The Director will also manage and support DLS staff duties, performance, and responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include finalizing EO 50 compliance determinations, overseeing DLS audits, conducting periodic meetings with agency representatives and vendors, and performing periodic reporting. The Director will also manage and support DLS staff duties, provide continued training and development opportunities, and manage special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • A masters degree from an accredited college with a major in business administration, public administration, urban planning, economics, urban affairs, marketing research, finance, or political science
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in business development, analysis of business records, economic research, or facilitation of the film industry
  • An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and three years of full-time satisfactory experience in business development, analysis of business records, economic research, or facilitation of the film industry
  • A satisfactory combination of education and experience which is equivalent to the above
