Role Overview

The Director of Compliance will support the Division of Labor Services (DLS) in ensuring compliance with Executive Order No. 50 and Local Law 67 across all qualifying entities performing work with the City of New York. The role will oversee compliance determinations, audits, and reporting to assess program and project performance. The Director will also manage and support DLS staff duties, performance, and responsibilities.

What You Will Do

Key responsibilities include finalizing EO 50 compliance determinations, overseeing DLS audits, conducting periodic meetings with agency representatives and vendors, performing reporting to assess program and project performance, and supporting efforts to streamline processes and procedures related to M/WBE utilization, Field Audits, and Workforce Analysis.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited college with a major in business administration, public administration, urban planning, economics, urban affairs, marketing research, finance, or political science
  • 1 year of full-time satisfactory experience in business development, retention, expansion, and relocation or assisting businesses in accessing public and private services and programs
  • Analysis of business records and documents to determine eligibility of businesses for programs and services
  • Economic, market, or site research and analysis for business and neighborhood development
  • Facilitation and promotion of the film industry through the processing of various permits, marketing techniques, and incentive programs
  • Associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and 3 years of full-time satisfactory experience
  • Satisfactory combination of education and experience equivalent to 1, 2, or 3 above
