Role Overview

We're looking for a Director of Energy and Utilities to lead the full lifecycle of utility power development projects across multiple US markets. You'll own the entire process from initial feasibility to finalized interconnection agreements, build and manage a lean team, and lead negotiations with utilities and energy suppliers.

What You Will Do

You'll assess new data center sites for power delivery viability, negotiate power purchase agreements, and manage the energy portfolio to enforce SLA requirements with utilities.

Requirements

  • Personally managed US utility interconnection processes end to end across multiple major markets
  • Negotiated power purchase agreements, utility service contracts, and behind-the-meter generation deals
  • Built or scaled an energy or utilities team in a high-growth environment from scratch
  • Quartermastered across site acquisition, construction, design, and customer teams simultaneously
  • Read and document a utility's full load interconnection process
  • Wrote and presented clearly enough to brief a CEO on interconnection risk or negotiate directly with a utility executive
