Job Description
As the Director of Engineering at Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall operation of the maintenance department and the appearance and working order of the hotel. You will work independently and with others to ensure the hotel meets the highest standards of service and maintenance.

Requirements

  • 6 years or more of progressive hotel or building management experience
  • Opening hotels and previous hotel pre-opening experience preferred
  • Resort experience (grounds, spa, pool etc.) required
  • Resort renovation experience preferred
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Strong working knowledge of all major building systems, including life-safety systems
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical skills
  • Proficient in professional public area maintenance practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to walk long distances and stand for long periods
  • Ability to work outdoors in the sun and sand
  • Ability to push and pull heavy amounts of weight
