Director of Events

The Director of Events will be accountable for shaping the client experience by providing exceptional service in support of the world-renowned hotel. The role is vital to the success of Four Seasons New York Downtown.

What You Will Do

The Director of Events will oversee all aspects of a profit and service-driven Catering and Conference Services Department, achieving assigned sales goals, maintaining strong catering booking pace, and creating networks of suppliers that mirror Four Seasons standards.

Requirements

• College degree preferred
• 5 years of experience as a Catering or Conference Services Manager in a full-service resort or hotel, 3 of which at the Assistant Director level or higher
• Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English
• Proven interpersonal skills with a track record of successful client interactions
• Coaching and people development skills
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to multitask
• Attention to detail
• High level of creativity
• Ability to negotiate, organize, delegate, and work under pressure
• Basic knowledge of audio-visual equipment and telecommunication technology
• Computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, and ability to use email and Internet
