Role OverviewThe Director of Facilities is responsible for developing, maintaining, and supervising all areas of work related to the Facilities Department. This includes supervision of staff, maintenance of buildings, electrical and plumbing services, heating and air conditioning, and transportation services. The Director must build collaborative relationships across organization departments and service vendors, and maintain sensitivity to the target population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
What You Will Do
The Director will plan and assign daily work to each person employed in the Facilities Department, ensure staff accurately log hours worked and time off requests, and ensure maintenance requests are completed in a timely manner. The Director will also work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to ensure that all transportation equipment is kept in good repair, and collaborate with the Director of Safety and Risk Management to ensure a safe physical environment for all buildings/campuses.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of leadership, management, or supervisory experience, and knowledge of work and maintenance required for the general upkeep of buildings. The candidate must also be able to build strong working relationships with other department directors, and have demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic ticketing systems.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Five plus years' experience in a leadership role for a maintenance or facilities team
- Valid driver license with a clean driving record
- Ability to read, write, and speak proficiently in English
